what holds on the sprocket because i just got in the mail a 13 tooth sprocket and it has no holes to put in the bolts??

is it a snap ring? I know the '05 splines are dif than the '04 but I thought they still had 2 bolts and a keeper. I ordered a 14 tooth a while back and the shop gave me an '05. I was pretty sure the only dif. was the splines. Could be wrong.

well it does have the snap ring but im a first generation and the only bolts it has in it is the keeper there are only two of them

i ordered it from rocky mt. and got it today and they just gave me the sprocket and some retaining clip what ever that is.

the retaning clip is a snap ring theres alittle divet in that shaft and thats where the retaning clip(snap ring) goes you should be good now post more if you got problems good luck man

All it should be is a sprocket if you ordered it. You should be able to use the stock parts to bolt it on.......................I would think anyway.

Do you know if '99's are dif all together than any other year. All mine has is a sprocket, a retaining clip with splines and 2 bolts. This s*** is confusing me....................lol

i think 1999-04 is all the same but its a sprocket-a snap ring(retanting clip) and that keeper with the two bolts so you have the right set-up. any ways you shoud beable to use the stock parts to bolt it up

whos got a 05 and ^ ex help this guy cuz those sprockets on the old ones aint like the new ones at all it looks like is that retaning clip holds it in but that dont seem safe

ok i figured it out this setup doesnt use the stock setup they just use a snap ring........now i have to buy a pair of snap ring pliers. :mad:

or u can use a pair of lil needle nose pliers thays what i did for my steering stem snap ring
