I need a measurement from a TRUE CRF Laeger frame.

I know they are super rare, but does anybody know if there is a member on here that has one?

I'm not referring to any of the CT built Laegers either.

I need a measurement like in the picture - from the rear bolt hole to the pivot bolt.

I could actually also use a diameter of the pivot bolt hole - does it use a 250R pivot bolt or something else?

Yeah, that would be a CT built CRF. I know they are fairly rare, but the TRUE CRF's have the same type of front mount.

my bike was built by laeger your propably referring to the front billet motor mounts that were built by ct for laeger. ctracing is 15mins. from my house and i'v been going their for years trust me allen knowles bought the jigs from mark laeger but didnt build but one or two crfs if that. i think your is an 01 or 02 and mines is the later year 03 with the ct motor mounts

Jesse, it's funny how people have different info.

I had a number of long conversations with Mark and he said he only built a couple and the rest were built after Allen bought the jigs. He also told me he didn't make them with the loop like you have but with mounts similar to the 250R.

Oh well, could be both as I think there are only a half dozen or more out there that are not conversions. I know Dave Herron built a bunch too.

My frame is actually not a CRF frame, it's a aircooled motor frame for either a 250X 350X or something from 98. I want to see if the original Laeger CRF's have the same distance cause these mounts are 1" closer to the pivot bolt than a regular 250R.

the only one i seen on here like the one your refering to i think was over in england and i think it might have been forsale on ebay or on this hybrid thred i'm not sure anyways good luck and that frame you have is propably more rare than these crfs if you need any help let me know i'll be more than happy to lend a hand

p.s the measurement from the tube to the swinger pivet point is 15.5 inches if that helps

the frame in the picture is a 250r frame. there where no original laeger crf's built with a narrow front. I have an orginal. one of 6 or something like that. I believe protrax has one too. and there is a guy from england that has one.

to be clear, kinda confusing once i re-read lol: the frame in the first pic, with the arrow and missing dimension, is the r frame. the pic I posted, is the original :-)

Thanks Jesse.

I've seen a couple like that. That's exactly like how Mark told me he built them.

I'm going to contact him to see if he can get a measurement.

that picture of farrs bike is crazy. thats the first one I have ever seen like that. I have seen many with the CT mounts, very few like mine and judecrfs, and thats the first like that. I wish we could get Mark Laeger on the horn here and see what's what.

The FARR quad could still be a conversion tho, even tho it has a Laeger tag on it, it coud have been a 250r that was converted. If I'm not mistaken, Laegers was converting some of the R's to run the CRF engine

Kind of neat tho, FARRs quad, and all the laeger bikes are kind of pieces of history. That has been a lot of races won on Laegers quads

hey protrax thats a sweet one, looks like you are running 4-1 wheels? I'm assuming you're running a +4 a-arm length? I was wondering if you were able to get the correct camber? On my +4 t pin, the upper arms were to short, I would run out of thread, no room for the nut. Did you have this problem?

I am having a buddy of mine build some new uppers so I can get the correct caster, somewhere around 1/8 to 1/4 top of the wheel towards the inside of the quad :D :ermm:

Truely this is all I needed to know - this is actually PERFECT because my frame is similar and would look the same. I needed to know if the mounts were different.

I think I'll be talking to Mark in the next couple weeks. If he is not too busy I'll see if I can get him to clear up things.
