I doubt you had the Elka factory shocks on your z. And yes the will compete with any top of the line shock with even more tunability than most others. Any of the top shocks will shine when tuned properly. If you can get them for cheap jump on it but for full price, you can get just as good a shock much cheaper.

Why do you say that?

The average rider will never use the Factory shocks to their full capability. Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between Factory and compression only shocks.

Call it a hunch, I would bet my quad on it. Have you seen the price tag on them? Nobody is putting them on a Z.

Here in Europe many countries have a youth class with max 250cc 2-stroke and max 400cc 4-stroke. I know one guy that had them on his 400ex in Norway.

I really don't know why you say that. The only difference would be the length of the shock, which has nothing to do with the adjustments of the Factory shock. As long as you have the LT arms, they shouldn't have any problem making you a set. That's like saying Maxxis doesn't make tires for the Z400.:ermm:

Those are protype Factory shocks on the picture, not available for production.

Elka only makes Factory edition shocks for the YFZ450, LTR450, TRX450R, and KFX450.

I think all Elka shocks are over rated. I personally am an axis guy and always will be there shocks just seem to be the best. Especially now since they developed an air shock I won't have to get fox evol's.

x2. Atleast the valving will be in the vicinity of where it should be when you order from Axis.
