ill have to check it out. Im worried about getting my riding boots under it to shift. Should i be worried?

I wouldn't, the shifter my friend had on this 05 450r was nearly identical to the shifter on my 88 250r, I believe they even were the same part number. Just for your info, 88/89 250r grab bars are the same as 04/05 450r, also.

ive actually got a 86 R. but thanks. i ended up buying a 04-05 450 shifter.
