CAn some people show the 250r scooped hoods on the 300ex

hey guys im practically going threw and setting up my quad for this year. i wrecked last year and going threw new plastics atm
and i want to see how the 250r scooped hood fits on. i'd appreciate it if you could post a few pics and how u did it thanks

these arent my quads.. ur best thing to do is get a maier race cut and the maier 250r hood fits that.. or else u can buy a new set of 300ex plastics from honda but that costs nearly 1000 including a seat. u can then get a 450r hood for it

well my plastics last year werent bad they were the stock black 2006 fenders the only issue i had was the right front side cracked so i found the same side and i just replaced it and looks like i did when i baught it but i wanna place a 250r hood on for looks

it dont work with stock plasics.. works wit maier plastics

It works with stock plastics dont let him fool you. I have a stock 250r hood with the light spot in it, i couldnt imagine a aftermarket one will be much diff.

so can it fit on stock plastics with out hacking it up? i saw that blue 300ex Race # 01 with a 250r hood on it and it looks like you could just drill hole's on top gas tank cover and stock hood, please post your pics of what you've seen

on mine i took the front center pice to make it fit better and to pull the plastics to hide under the hood. all i can say is get the hood and mess with it till you like it.

i may have been wrong... i thik the only way is to geta maier front piece and a 250r hood... i tink alll the other ways look kinda meesd up

I will agree with you on that, I two think it looks best on maier plastics, but it can be done on stock.

no not at all, i think it could be done better but my plastic are junk anyways.

can u do it wit the plastic surround that is on the sterring stem? where can i get a 250r scoop?

if your lucky enough to run into one of the carbon Fiber hoods that they made for the 300ex i would go that route. I have only seen a handful of them around and personally ever have seen 1 in person. They looked decent and were made to fit.

Yup i left that part of the plastic, took the center out in the front. Ill try to get a good pic of it to give you and idea. You can find a hood on ebay, they get pricey though

ok is it possible to do that with out cutin the gas tank cover piece in half?

I dont think it is with the scooped hood.
