ok, Im trying to replace the rear brakes on my 400 ex its an 03 sport. I can only manage to get one of the brake pads to fit into the caliper, ie; not both of the brake pads in the caliper will fit onto the rotor... does anyone know if there is an adjustment on the caliper itself or what is happening ... thanks jordan

did ya compress the piston all the way in?

You should try to use a clamp or something to help compress it and make sure you have the cover off of the reservoir. steve

If you got that piston pushed all the way back in, some companies 400ex brake pads are way to fat to fit. You got to take out the metal thing and then you got to pound the calaper on some how and let the brakes wear down for a while. Or buy pads from another company. good luck.
