where did my spark go?

problem with my r today

out riding and the thing was just getting warmed up and the thing quit, tried to start and it fired up and died. tried it again, did the same. now it won't start and has no spark, i tried to test spark with an old plug but nothing(but it was an old plug)

any help??

but i'd check all your wires and connections...give them a wiggle and retry

Don't know exactly what that means^^^^^^I've gotten plenty of help here.

Anyway, could be your CDI. I was riding my brothers ATC 250R one day and it just died......it was his CDI. I'm not saying thats your problem, but worth a shot.

so i tried to sart my r today, fired over and ran on the second kick

but won't fire after it gets hot..

My did about the same thing. Was out riding, came around the garage and cut it off to talk to my buddies after the ride. Went to start it and nothing. It was completely dead. Checked the plug and all the electrical and still nothing. After some more checking ,it was the CDI box that went bad. Got another one and it fired right up. I could believe it went out so fast.

Bad coils are known to get hot and then quit working.
