Im sure this is a repost but I cant have any luck with the seach,
Im in the market for one of these two at the moment was just wondering how big of a power difference there is between the to.

I have found out that is alot easier to come by leftover 450 than a 525

Thanks

Yeah it's not a bad price but you can get a 08 450 for around 7000 out the door, then put the 540 kit in it and then you got a big bore for the same price. I have the 525 and love it. It's just a matter of what you really want and what you want to spend.

There are still a few dealers with leftover 08' models. I believe there is one on ebay right now for 5999 brand spanking new.

I have a 525 and now two 450's. I got both 2008 450's for 6115.00 out the door with a oregon sand tag. Both with the special KTM ready to race kit and both with the Baldwin tit valve and port/polish deal they are including. We ride in the oregon dunes. The 525 pulls the 450 on the flat but not by that much. In the hill climbs it is hard to say since mine has bolt on parts that the 450 does not. Motorsports out of Hillsboro, Oregon had 3 left on thursday. If I was in the market for a 525 I would buy the 450 and why I am getting the Baldwin head work done I would put on a 540 kit for a grand. For $7100 you would have a 540 KTM quad with the head done and the KTM package. That would be the best deal I have seen. KTM has the deal expiring at the end of the month.
