I finally got my billet bearing carrier in last night and took it for a rip...after about an hour my muffler fell of and I had a long annoying ear ringing ride home. anyways my buddy bought a DG universal muffler for his 200sx but never installed it. he payed $94.95 cdn for it from royaldistributing.com and he wants to sell it to me for 40 bucks cash.... will it fit? has anybody else tried it?

make sure your mid pipe is smaller or the same size as the UV muffler, if it is, see if he will let you try it first and then pay him for it if you like it

you might have to make custom mounts since i beleive its smaller than the stock can

if your regular muffler fell off why dont you just put it back on?

well there are three mounts to hold the muffler on. One where the pipes connect. that one was fine. until I tried to loosten the nut to fit the pipe back on then the whole clamp snapped in half. then there is one an inch or two back. that snaped right off the last time I took the pipe off months ago. then there is one near the back and when it fell off I lost the bolt. plus when it fell off I thought "hey this sounds pretty good" so I wanted to make it louder. Anyways I got the pipe and slammed it on... NOTE! this was not a direct fit. I had to remove the reservoir for the rear brake. but the caliper hasn't worked for months anyways. Also the diameter of the DG pipe and the factory header is exactly the same size so I folded and bent the DG pipe until it fit in. Anyways If you fully remove your muffler and start the bike up.....thats what it sounds like with this pipe on. Its basically a straight pipe and it is effin loud. DON'T BUY THIS PIPE FOR A 300EX!!. it doesn't fit right and its stupid loud. I have a new 450R so my 300ex is just a torture toy from now on... if it blows up I'll burn it on the spot. If you care about your 300 don't waste your time with this stupid pipe.

I understand that, but you cant possibly make a universal pipe. All pipes are different. Im not bashing on you this is more directed towards dg

your pretty limited to what it will work on. I mean the diameter of the inlet probably won't fit a motorcycle pipe. and the inlet pipe was exactly the same diameter as my header pipe. so you'd probably have to weld it on if you wanted it permanently on there. I took it off anyways its just way to loud and if you look in one end of the pipe you can see straight through it.... you might as well just weld on a piece of straight pipe. its useless
