We call her "Old Glory". I have a 1973 Sprinter, 37' long, 5th wheel camper. I bought it about 5 years ago just after I finished college. We gutted it out and added 7 feet onto the rear and also added a 3rd axle. The inside was completely redone with new plywood, the fridge and furnace were relocated to the front to keep the back open for quad storge. We also gusseted and reinforced the frame in every way possible. The full bathroom and shower were kept in thier original place but new fresh water tanks and holding tanks were added. Believe it or not the original AC still kicks it out really cold. The roof also needed some work, but it was nothing we couldnt handle.
Cosmetically the best feature is the " No wing No prayer " sticker on the rear as well as the honda racing stickers on the sides and front. It boasts outdoor speakers with a cd player and two subs. When things get real crazy the inside is fully equipped with red, white and blue rope lighting around the perimeter of the cieling.
I honestly feel like a true American pulling this thing down the road, just living the dream. Everybody points, some say "sweet and some just laugh. I calculate about 30,000 miles have been put on it since I bought it.
-Glamis - 4 times
-Sand mountain, UT - 1 time
-Little sahara, OK - 6 times
-Dumont, CA - 2 times
-Silver Lake and Northern Michigan - 100's of trips

Next trip will hopefully be Oregon/St. Anthonys. Please share pics and stories of your own haulers, new and old. Thanks

Here is ours. You can see more pictures on our website:

www.boiservrentals.com

It is a 2008 Jayco Eagle, 37' long. Two bedrooms, sleeps 11 in beds. Full kitchen, 5.1 surround sound with a Yamaha receiver, and outside speakers.

We tow a Triton ATV128 (12' aluminum ATV trailer) behind the 5th wheel, with three quads on it.

The tow rig is a 2006 GMC Sierra 3500 Dually Duramax Diesel with leather and a sunroof. Tows everything just fine with a 4" Pinnacle exhaust (done by Jerod Jardine), Mag-Hytec tranny pan, full synthetic everything, and an Edge Evolution tuner (500+ ft-lbs of torque).

My truck has the duramax also, and I love it. Great mileage and tons of power. Great looking setup.

what year is your truck?

got to be between 05 and 06 unless its a 07 classic. good looking truck tho. anything performance wise done to it

pic of my stepdads 03 dmax. my mom cant take pics too well because she cut off the front half of the truck but its stock other then a edge juice with the attitude outlook monitor. over all a good "on the go" programmer. but if i was to ever get a duramax id go with the PPE hot+2

BERT306

Just a 4" Rancho lift (any more and it wouldn't fit in my garage:rolleyes: )

Since the pic i've replaced those Toyo open country A/Ts with M/Ts 35x12.50x20. Also has 5" Magnaflow exh with 6" tip, PPE boost valve, EGT and Boost gauges on pillar. NO chip or even intake mods yet, I know myself too well, once i buy a chip i'll have it set on max and then my Allison will be slippin:mad:
It has enough power as it is.

Next big purchase for it will be a Train horn.

"It has enough power as it is"...

Until you tow something, then it is slower than snot up the grades out here in the west.

I grabbed the Edge Evolution because it is safe, and I don't have to have other gauges, a nice all-in-one. It really helps me tow heavy. I can pass my friend's Cummins 5.9L RV on the big grades, while towing our 5th wheel with the quad trailer behind it. He is flabergasted every time.... LOL

yea the edge is a very good tuner it wont put too much power in it and level 5 extreme is rather impressive i think. my stepdad gets 23mpg with that tuner set on mileage

my buddy has a 03 duramax with the ppe Hot+2 programmer, lift pump, intake, and straight piped. i rode in that truck not 2 long ago and that truck will lay you back in the seat. hes got it set on the 350hp tune.

here is a pic of our boat, the duramax drags this boat like it aint nothing. we had a 1500 that would barely even pull this boat. on flat land that boat would push the 1500. and going up a steeper grade the 1500 would bogg so we got the duramax and that duramax drags that boat like it aint even back there. even thru the moutains and uphills were we go to the lake at

For short trips I use the tail gate extender. As you can see, it goes in the hitch and works great for afternoon trips to the trails or the dunes.

Nice simple setup! My next setup will be a Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab with our Triton aluminum ATV trailer behind it and a motel reservation..... Will eventually try that to get our operating expenses down.

When we're going for good gas mileage we break out the economy hauler. It doesnt always pay to pull the big rig. I throw my bed cover on to protect all our gear, and off we go. It's the perfect length for stacking two quads front to back, I hate stacking sideways it makes me cringe watching the fenders twist in the wind.

Dtown, you should post a pic of the tandem hauler fabricated for hauling two quads flat in a truck bed.
