learn to jump, corner really well since you can make up a ton of time here, and learn to ride whoops really good so you can make time up there. steve

pin it to win it. I recomend removing your brakes just messin. best thing to do is just ride. the more practice you get the better you can handle situations and you will know the machine more. I always advise people to start with something they can ride and learn on to the fullest extent and it makes the transition better for a bigger or better machine. You dont need loads of mods you need to know how to ride what you have to its limits and then grow on that. Start slow and try what you feel confident with. Dont go launching jumps if you are unsure of making it just yet.

I would agree best bet hit the woods and ride learn how to control your bike before entering a real world scenerio. Start slow as if ya just hit it balls to the wall without knowing what to do or how to react to something you might beef it and that hurts.

Like stated learn to jump build a small jump just a 4 to 6 foot air jump nothing major but it will sure teach you how to ballance yourself on your quad then build up to what you feel comfortable. If your not comfy doing then dont as you will only get hurt. Dont push yourself if your not ready and by all means please were protective riding gear. Good luck guys its alot of fun.

practice on all terrains too that is always good. go oout in the rain, sand mud, anything you can find to go as fast as you can. time yourself on a section over and over to get as fast as you can. this helps. steve

Learn how to lean, also if your not using your brakes your not going fast enough. Learn how to slip the clutch in the corners to keep your rpms in the sweet spot, this way when you finish the turn you can drop the clutch and launch out of the corner.

Also how is your suspension setup on your bike. Make sure its where you feel comfortable riding on so you can control your bike better on jumps and riding thru a race. The best thing i can tell you also is make sure you can launch good so you can pull a holeshot. A good launch is hard to beat.

also you need to get your shifting down to. i have found that one of the most key things in winning a race. is shifting and knowing how and when to use your brakes!!

Another thing with shifting is getting your gearing right. A good example is when im riding in the trails i constantly have to shift between 2nd and 3rd. To solve this problem i got a new front sprocket that is 1 tooth smaller. Now im geared a little lower so i can stay in 3rd most of the time. So little adjustments hear and there can make a world of difference, now instead on trying to keep my self in the right gear i can stick it in 3rd and concentrate on riding and hauling ***
