What is the worst case scenario, if this oil seal is installed
backwards? Thanks.

Thanks, that's what I want to hear. I read a little on the design
of the oil seal. The sealing lip on the open side of the seal is designed to hold back pressure. How much pressure is created in the clutch side? If it is a decent about, the pressure could push
the lip off the shaft and leak tranny oil into the coolant.
