I just bought a used 24mm Keihin to put on our viper 90 and was wondering where I should start with the jetting..The carb came with a #148 main and a 55 pilot...The engine is stock except for some boyesen reeds and an APEX pipe....I will be running a UNI filter...

We ran a 130 main and 55 pilot on ours with just typical mods (pipe, uni, reeds, etc.) It worked great.

Anyone else?..I tried it with the #148 and it won't even barely drag itself across the lawn....

A 128 or 130 would be a safe start.

You may even have to go lower on the main in Canada if you have cooler dry air,I know Koso has a jet kit ranging from #122 to #148 i think, with a kit like this you will have jets for future mods aswell. Also have a few spark plugs available you may need to do a few spark plug readings.Somewhere around #130 may still be a good starting point.IMO.Also is it a round slide or a flatslide?

It is a roundslide...I managed to get some jets from a local bike dealer but the smallest he had was a #125..It is running much better (than the #148)but it is cool and raining here so not a good day for testing....
