400ex clutch wont engage?

i recently bought a 400 ex and the clutch wasnt engaging. so i changed the plates and springs yet it still wont engage. its not the cable because i tried manually engaging the lever off the clutch case yet still nothing can someone please help

make sure the clutch pull pin isnt broken off
there should be like a lil hat on the end of it

alright i dont think it is but ill double check any other reasons that would happen

the pin might not be seated in the arm correct

oh and dont force it
i did that with mine and broke the top off
