Have a set of +2 a-arms that are caster and camber adjustable. Standard travle Elka shocks. What wheel offset will get me closest to 50" and not over. If I thinking right its going to be the 3-2 offet and that will put me all over 50"
any thoughts please?

3-2 will put you right at 50, you can always go like an inch wider cause you can squeeze through the gates, i am sitting at 52 but i squeeze through

From my experience:

+2 arms with 3:2 offset wheels will put you at about 51" wide.

+2 arms with 4:1 offset wheels will put you about 49" wide.

+2 arms with stock wheels (4:1.5 offset) will put you about 50" wide.

+2.5 arms with 4:1 offset wheels will put you at 50" wide.

+3 arms with 4:1 offset wheels will put you about 51" wide

This is just what I have noticed running different setups on my 04/05 450R's over the years.

I would rather run 4:1 wheels and be a little narrower, than 3:2 wheels and be wider.

Def. run a 4:1 or stock wheel. 3:2 give way to much bump steer, and change the angle of steering scrub, and just throws it all off.

And to the ratio/width chart. I run Gibson +3 LT arms, with a 4:1 HiPer beadlock and its 49" wide on my race bike. I run a Lonestar Race Series +2 Std. Travel arms on my practice bike with a 4:1 ITP Baja wheel and its also 49" wide. The gull-wing design arms are advertised +3 because the length of the material is longer, but the design doesn't kick the wheel out as far as the +3 would make you believe. Depends how the arm is made, and by what company what dictates how wide the bike will be, not the +2, +2.25, +2.5, or +3.
