Ok...heres my problem.
I love to ride my 400 but I have no motorcycle boots...
its not because I can't afford them...
Its that I wear a size 13.
I bought some Fox boots and tried to ride...
but my foot is soo big I could not shift.
I ended up returning them.
I really don't want to buy an extended shifter or brake pedal.
Is their someone who has had similiar problem please give me some advice.
Would a pair a like "wolverine" type boots work?
Do I really need to wear boots?
I have been riding in tennis shoes without any problems.
Thanks in Advance,
Chris:)

riding boots are always a good idea. you could have your stock shifter lengthened.....i rode for years with a good set of work boots. but just trailriding etc.

One click may be all that ya need. They are little spacer but by the time it gets to the end of the shifter. The shifter has been raised quite a bit. You can always buy or have you stock shifter added on to. Try the clicks first and tell what happened.

I have size 13 fox boots and all I did was move the shifter up a notch or two. Works fine for me.

By reading your sig I can tell you your first problem is you need to get rid of your DG nerf bars and get some AC Propegs. I have
size 11 Alpinestars and I had trouble with my foot getting hung up between the shifter and stock peg. I sold my DGs and got propegs and it moves my foot just enough that I have no problems anymore.
You dont really want to have laced shoes because it wont be pretty when your front sprocket gets ahold of one

My boyfriend has size 14 Alpinestars, and he cut out the webbing from the nerf bars that were under his foot until he could get his foot under the shifter......he doesn't have alot of webbing on that one side, but it works well for him....

I wouln't cut the webbing, But I would loosen it alot, and try moving it up one click.
The dg nerfs are the greatest thats fo sho, I hated mine :(

all ya have to do is take a look at your shifter.
There will be a bolt buy the shiftshaft that hold the shifter on the shaft. Loosen that bolt, slid the shifter out, and put it back on at one tooth higher than b4.
As simple as that!

i have size 13's too. I had to buy tech 8's because tech 6's dont go that big. and I'll ride nothing but alpinestars! Im custom building some pegs that will move them down and back and be twice as wide. I hope that helps. But yea you gotta break in your boats before they work right
