well it has two adjustments one is preload or compression and one is rebound,how fast it snaps back is rebound and how hard it is to shove down is compression.to get softer u want slow rebound and medium dampener.that would be the two screws top of shock and bottom of shock.just dont adjust too much at once.hope that helps.
