440cc rerset rockers

me again trouble as per norm....just done oil filter change and reset valves bit noisy after being run in......
set at 4+5 makes it hard to start but nice and quite.....set 6+8 same problem.....make em bigger 10+12 and she runs an ticks over no problem . tappety though....any ideas why?

ims 440 recently fitted, stage 2 cam , fcr 39.,fmf. power bomb complete system umi filter..been running fine part from wrong gearing,,, still got decompressor fitted though could it be binding on or some thing pissing me off know end,, will run fine at the bigger valve setting but bit noisy off course and will not help me performance i am sure...

your are adjusting the valves when the engine is COLD aren't you?

I don't know of any aftermarket cams sold here that utilize the decompression parts. That would be my first suspect.

Pull the cover and check the condition of those rockers.

Someone tell him the valve settings for a stage 2 Hotcam.

Whatever the specs are for the cam you should just set your valves to that.

all rockers are hardend as came with the kit an still seam fine but i did fit decompression back on as the hole was there for the spring me thinx it might be this also.

company bought it from say u can run with or with out it , if i had off known this at the time i would off chosen not to fit it... pain in the *** any way

job done decompression thingy remov4ed sound as a pond thanx for all the elp guys
