Anyone know this guy?

User ID:
bigballin50
Name:
michael s pearson
Company:
City:
lexington
State:
AL
Country:
United States
Phone:
(256) 229-XXXX

If you do tell him I want my money back.

He sold me this throttle cable that worked 'flawless', but really its a piece of junk. He also didn't send the clutch cable that was in the auction. When I called him he told me he still had the clutch cable and that I was not getting a refund. He told me to not call his f'n house again and if i left him bad feedback he would do the same for me. He swore a number of times on the phone and just seemed like a real dirtbag.

I also payed for it on 5/21 and it didn't ship out till 6/11.

It was $26 which ain't a whole lot but this is worthless to me and right when I called this guy he jumped all over me. Maybe someone knows this guy...

Heres the auction...

Heres the actual item I received.

$11 for a junk cable...but you really got raped on shipping.

What you saw in the auction is NOT what you got IMO.

I wouldn't have bid in the 1st place though, the no refunds part would have make my clicking finger not work.

wow man he does sound like a real douche bag but in my opinion the best thing to do is just let it go. its probably gonna take a lot to have anything done about it. ive known several people that have been ripped on e-bay and were pretty much stuck. just remember, what goes around comes around.

I hear ya but paypal only is going to care if he got *something* not the state of it. Hopefully ebay will help more.

But yes, the seller seems like a douche.

Why would you spend so much on it though?

You have to pick your battles in life and put effort forth where you have a higher probability of success. I would take the same energy I would waste in pursuing this and put it forth in another area. I would use this gain to buy my new cable.

Pursue this guy and you are going to still be out of a cable and you are going to be out of more time too. Cut your losses. You are $26 in the hole right now. Don't be $26 plus a few hours plus aggravation. You learned a lesson. Mow some grass with your frustration and get your new cable.

For the most part you guys are right about dropping it. I'm sending it back to the guy and filing a Paypal dispute thats it. It will only cost me $3 and about 10 minutes of time.

I already ordered another one.

Good choice...and you are correct in saying "for the most part". Nobody likes to getted ripped off by somebody. Sad truth is that you get get screwed over in life by numerous people that you can't control such as a boss or even somebody higher up the food chain. You just have to learn when it is worth pursuing and when it is best to fold your tent and find a new spot.

On a side note. Just recently my 400ex clutch became very hard to pull. I figured it was the cable until I removed it. It moved back and forth fairly easily so then I figured it was going to be something to do with the clutch. I went ahead and put a new cable on it to make sure. All was fine. It is amazing how slick the cable has to move back and forth. Glad to hear you will be back to riding soon.
