i posted this in the 450r section,but didnt get any answers. heres the deal, i got 18 inchh kenda knarlys on my 450, and when i got them, they had to much traction, now the will spin everywhere, but they dont seem to awful worn, i have a extra set of 18 inch tamers, how do the tamers hook up, i ride mainly on a farm with jumps and ridin on flat land, but sometimes trail ride if its not very muddy, so, if it were u, which wud u use?

Never have ran knarlys, but when we ran tamers, we would groove them and they would hook up real well.

qhats the patter that u used to groove them. in the 450 sectio they said to use a chisel and propane torch, heat the chisel and cut em. also, they said to try and flip my knarlys say the lip is on the other side

Leave 2 knobs, cut one.....then vise versa on the next row.

when u sayvise versa, do mean, cut 2 leave one on the next row, i figured ill put em on and try em cuz my buddy had some extra red rings for the hipers, so im gonna change them, from the black, so i will have it close enough to take the tire off to not do it.

Yeah, that's how we did it, so the tire would set down in the loamy stuff. They don't compare to my mxr6's, but back then, they were awesome.

do u prefer to do them with the tires mounted, or not
