View Full Version : Oil Cooler Help

ok this is getting stupid i have broken 2 oil coolers on my 05, the mounting tabs keep braking off the 2nd on i fixed after it broke the first time and now its broken agian this is all sencse mid last year. does anyone know why they brake or how to prevent it from happening. i have been thinking of an aftermarket cooler from a car or something eltse like an inline cooler and re locate it. any help would be awsome.

That's weird. I've never heard of that problem before. Are you saying the mounts are breaking on the frame, or on the oil cooler itself?

Is your frame tweaked? Putting pressure on the oil cooler maybe? I don't know, just guessing here?

they keep breaking of the cooler. i dont htink my frame is bent the cooler fits perfict onto the frame mounts dont have to foce it in or anything. one question there is only a bottom support on the left side is this correct. otherwise i dont know is there anywere on the frame to measure yo see if the frame is bent or i guess i could pick simaler points and see if there the same on both side of the quad.

i thought there was one at all corners but i could be wrong
