Well I just replaced the oil and oil filter on my 400 and put everything back together as I found it. I started my wheeler just to make sure everything was alright and I noticed oil was dripping from under the oil cap...Could I have put this on wrong or what?

And I tightened the bolts up to see if that was the problem and I snapped one of the bolts off. So yay!

Could anyone help??

Only thing I could think of is there is an o-ring in there that may have popped out of the groove or its bad.

For the broken bolt, you may be able to take a small screwdriver ( Flat ), and catch a "lip" or "burr" on the piece inside, and spin the broken bolt out. Since the head sheared off the bolt, it probably dont have any pressure on it.

For the leak, I'd say its the cover oring is bad. I have a new one if you want it. Or you can go to walmart or a auto parts store and pick up a fram oil filter for it, that includes a new oring. Be about 5 bucks for the filter.

I've been replacing the gasket o-ring every filter change and it always leaks after a ride or 2. Cant go tighter on the bolts they will snap. Guess I just need to use gasket sealer too
