anyone interested in a chevy 350 sb complete, for your project race car? if so I can send some picks after I pull it out of the corner of my garage.
But be aware,.... This engine is not for the faint of heart, ...OR low budget.

There's a long story as how I came to own it through the death of a friend, but I won't go into all that right now,
here's the short story....

it was built by a friend of mine who is a professional mechanic at a hot rod shop for over 30 years.
He and another friend were planning to go stock car racing, and built the car, built the engine, put about 2 hours of run time on it in the garage, and ran it around the block a few times.
They were taking it to the shop the next weekend, to fine tune it on the dyno.
unfortunately, one died unexpectedly, that week.

I had originally intended to put it in my '56 chevy, but times are very tough right now, and I simply do not have the cash to **de-tune** it for street use.

it is basically a fresh built, "ready to go", "drop it in", "plug 'n play" $18k-20k, stock car racing engine. ( it has over $12k spent in parts alone). we're talking 600hp at over 8000 rpm, with a 2 barrel carb w/restrictor plate, and cast iron exhaust manifolds! ('vette ramhorns)
It would be ridiculous to put it in a street car as it is.
besides, it dosent run on pump-gas anyway.

I'm looking to trade it for a side by side 4x4.
Specifically, a RZR or RZR-S, or,
I will consider trade for a BRAND NEW ZZ4 crate motor WITH 700r tranny,
or, I may consider a straight sale.

pm if interested, (no jokers, or dreamers).
again i say,...
This is no average hot rod engine, and it is not cheap.

.stock 10 bolt with 342 gears

. m/t drag radials

and other little bolts ons like ltraction bars battery relocation kit etc...

it hasnt been down the track yet beacuse i dont think a stock 10 bolt will handle the torque from the big block but it should run high 12's with its setup

I would love to build a muscle car someday, my buddy has a 87 fox body mustang, its supercharged with a methanol kit on it, he has built the whole motor and drive tran, he runs mid 11s but he cant really hook that well. He needs to set up his suspension better. Its funny because its primer grey and a bit ugly. So its quite the sleeper. Definitely the fastest car i have ever been in for sure, scary fast. He puts right at 550hp to the wheels. So thats what i got for old cars.

The jeeps looks so good cause its a fiberglass body. Which for 1,000 it didnt need much work but have put a lot of time into it. Its actually a power ram the power wagons were a little bit different but still mostly the same anyway It needs a new motor(or a rebuilt one) Im thinking about putting a 8.0 v10 in it from a 96 ram still not sure if i want to do it yet. bed has a bunch of holes in it and might replace the cab since my uncle found me one in awesome shape. Needs new tranny gaskets. There is a few other small things but thats really it. It still drives and runs good but at 7-9mpg I think the 74 ramcharger engine has had it. I would like to tow more with it but that engine is not up to it thats why it would be nice to have that v10 or if my dad will ever find a truck and stop driving my diesel I could at least tow.

Here is what we used to own. 1968 Pontiac Acadian ... same thing as a Nova . I don't have any pictures of the car ... but browsing facebook this morning I found the now owner of it. Pretty neat since I haven't seen the car since my old man sold it years ago. We had this car running in the low to mid 11's ... 454 , coil over suspension , full cage , tubbed , all steel body. Last I heard the owner had put in nitrous and tore the motor out to do a "tune job" on it and really F'ed it up. To the point where the car was only turning low 13 seconds.... which is what it was running when we first bought it and it was running like CRAP.

We now have a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda sitting in the garage ... same at the one posted on the 1st page ... and that's exactly what it looked like when we bought it. It took a little over a year to strip it down, weld in new quarters and floors , do the engine work and send it off to the paint booth. It was supposed to be a 5 year project , but we got it done in a little over a year .. BTW my mom wasn't too pleased with my dad about it . LOL

I'll pull it out of the garage later on and snap some pictures of it. Maybe I'll even give it and my Tundra a bath and snap pics of them beside eachother.

Here's the pictures. I didn't wash either vehicle yet .. I cut the grass instead. Maybe later I'll give them a bath .. if I feel ambitious... I but I did take her for a spin around town just to get this lubed . The car doesn't get much use since my parents moved 2 hours away, but since I turned 26 this year and have been licensed for 10 years I'm now legally allowed to drive it. I sure hope my old man decides to spend the $7000 and change up the front end ... talk about sloppy steering.
