Is anyone else having problems with the Polaris Outlaw 525s restarting after stalling it out or restarting when it is hot? After stalling mine or restarting it after riding for awhile it sometimes takes several attempts.

Feels as if it wants to lock up, huh?

jetting, and letting it breath better will help.

Just leave it sit a few seconds longer, and it should fire up. but if your racing, you'll have to ride faster to get back to where you were.

Have you rejetted it yet? Go buy the JD Jet kit and rejet it using his needles. It will solve 90% of the hard starting issue the stock jets and needles cause.

I agree with evasiveone. JD jet kit solved my problems starting 100%.

Making sure not to pump the throttle while starting makes it easier as well.

the bike i sold today :( had the same carb i believe, it had a hot start lever/knob, does the 525 have that too or not? im not really sure as i still dont have the 525.

i noticed the KTM's have a lever on the bar above the clutch lever, where my old comp release lever was, anyone know if thats a hot lever?

im not really sure.

I believe the carb has a hot start built in to it. I might be wrong. The starting issues are mainly 2 things. The TPS sensor cable is loose or the Valves need adjusting. Mine has always started right up except when i needed those two things.

do you mean like built in hot start, or do you mean like a lever or choke type know like what im used to?

i never had to use my hot start except when i laid the bike down once while hot, of course it flooded a lil, but still, if i eat it on the quad hard enough, ill need a lil unflooding time myself lol... :D
