250x cylinder bore?

engine burning smoke, so I pulled the head and cylinder. Stock bore on Honda cylinder is 2.91", my bore is 2.95" . any advice on which direction to go next. do I get new piston rings, cause they're gap is like 1/32 of an inch. piston and cylinder wall looks great - very clean no scratches. After looking closer, I recognized that the piston says it's a 1.00mm. So now I believe that this engine has been bored. The original piston was 74mm , my piston is 1mm larger. So now I'm onward looking for p-ring set.

You can always bore it out and get a bigger piston. That will solve your smoking problem as well as adding power. I would recommend doing supporting mods, 400EX carb, full exhaust, Hot Cam...
