One of CJ's b-day gifts was a new gopro helmet cam....

The batteries died pretty fast (ones that came with it) but we managed a few minutes of footage. We also adjusted the angle but thats when the batts died:p

Did you guys get the wide angle one? The older on that i got couldn't run on any thing but lithium battery's. I did the same thing the first time, shooting the ground. lol. Also if you turn the sounds setting on low you wont get that feedback. Looks good though!

I didnt hear any feedback..heard alot of rocks:p

We just lacked the time today to play with. I need to read the destructions but pretty satisfied so far.

This is not the wide model, just standard. I have a request in to get a few other models in here so that we can not just review them, but use them for coverage and for review work on models etc.

he said he takes that as a complement as scared little girls are hard to catch:devil:

Yeah the angle was alot better, but it was dark in the woods and the batteries crapped out so screw it, we will try again when we get back from Dilla:p

I do have a neat clip of him following his little brother...tags him to lol.
let me find it and upload it.

LOL ... true true .

Without reading the instructions , do you know if there is a way to brighten the picture when you are in the woods? I can see it being a good camera on an MX track , but if there's no adjustment for brightness , it'll be hard in the woods to capture good video.

Either way ... pretty awesome birthday present. I should get one for when I drive around in the truck. :p

Well you're all set then . Just ask him to "lose" skid of AAA batteries and you'll be good for a while.

Now if I can suggest batteries Ken ... I suggest a marine grade deep cycle in it's own custom holder with custom wiring up to the cam. But hey .. that's just me.

Nice little love tap also.

He knows better then to slam Ryan:p

LOL..I wasn't just refering to the batts in this thread, all batteries. I was out on the boat the other day and a guy started telling me what to buy and how to take care of it:p I said thanks and smiled....little did he know i've charged more batteries then he will ever dream of in his lifetime...but I still smile and take it all in:p The second I tell them I worked in the battery industry for almost 20 years i get stuck with that person for 30 mins.

Ya sometimes it's easier and quicker to just listen for 5 minutes rather than be stuck answering questions for the next 30 , like you said.

I know working in the powersports industry is the same. I don't mind answering questions when I'm at work ... but when I'm at local races trying to relax and enjoy myself and I have guys come up to me and start asking what they should buy for their machines and if I can order it for them on Monday , it irritates me.

I've been to local sled races trying to watch and litterally have guys stand in front of me face to face asking me all sorts of questions about their '74 Twister , while they can clearly see that I'm trying to look around them to watch the action. I get paid to do it at work ... not on my days off. LOL Ok rant over.

I had a buddy who brought his back because the battery life sucked on his.

I like the quality video they capture though; it's much better than the ATC2K.
