Peter Rio's 450r Frame Request

Hey Pappy,

I am sending a 05 450r frame and subframe out to you on monday. the frame is powdered right now, the subframe is stock. the frame has two developing stress cracks on each side of the frame, by the gas shutoff (where they usually crack)

could i get a price on repairing the cracks and powdering the frame and subframe a solid color?

also, what do you think turnaround is right now because i have a race at the end of the month. Wasnt planning on the stress cracks happening.

Time frame shouldnt be a big issue right now, but what date is the cut off for having it back?

Frame and sub, primer color and clear $195 (usually 175 to 185 but seeing teh main frame is coated I have to add in some coin to cover the extra stripping cost)

I will also look it over for more cracks etc

i am just going to go with gloss black color, i am assuming that would be quickest. i need to have it by two weeks if at all possible. we have a race two weeks from now. not the end of the world if we dont get it back, i can just go out and visit dan in breezewood instead. haha

Would there be any discount if i send you two frames and subframes?

Yeah , especially if they are the same color. I dont make a lot per frame but can wiggle a bit if it helps ya

If i can get it in here late next week(earlier the better) I could get it to stripping. Usually i drop off on monday and pick up on thursday pending nothing jams them up. Shooting it and getting it ready for shipping takes 1 day

I am leaving the 24th and wont be back till the 28th for the Muddy Creek National but I will all but kill someone to try and make your time structure:p

got the quad apart today. It will be headed your way. PLease check over the right front a-arm mounts really well, we had a horrible encounter with some seized mounting bolts and had to do some grinding and heating. I know you'll check out the whole frame to make it flat and perfect, just thought i'd mention it.

also, need your opinion. I am running red plastics, black a-arms fox shocks with black swingarm. I am torn between the blue vein and the granny smith green right now, are they the same price? any recommndations from what you've seen? thanks a lot pappy i appreciate the help man

how much more to do my bumper, rear grab bar and nerfs in gloass black (with built in heelguard, i think u dont charge for that right????) in addition to the frame and subframe?

Picked the frame up this morning and will be starting on the repairs today. Should be finished today as well

ok thanks pappy. like i said, the front right a-arm mounts and the frame is cracked, both sides on the top. thanks a lot

ok...fixed the upper main tubes, cracked on both sides. now welded and added gussets

welded 3 big cracks under footpegs

added fill weld to teh area on teh right front arm mount from your grinder, bolts go in them so i assume you got them straight during removale.

You will actually see it wednesday. Fed Ex never came here friday (I was gone and it was left out for them) I didnt even know it wasnt shipped until today when I asked whos frame was heading out:ermm: When I see the driver I will ask why, might have been a sub driver
