please help!

ok i have a 300ex it has a full dg pipe,kn filter,stock gearing,and the airbox lid removed it is bein put back together. well my neighbor stumbled over and told me that if i polish the inside of my intake boot it would give me better throttle responce....is this true? also is there any little tips or secrets tat would give me a couple extra ponies?

i dont think you are going to get any more horse power out of that because its just plastic but if you put an actual metal pipe that is much larger in size you should get some more horse power because you will get more air into the motor and there are tons of other things you can do to build power it just depends on what you are capable of or how much you are willing to spend.

yeah i thought that to and it is like metal on the inside of it so i was wounderin if i dremel it out a lil then clean and polish it if it would make a diffrence. also could i advance the timing or anything like that?
