kfx 400 owner's

Who better to turn to then my fellow z400, kfx 400 rider's. I'm stuck with what i want to get. If you where me what would you get guys. Raptor 700, or kfx 450r all i want to do is trail ride no jumping really at all. Maybe little jump nothing big or real big. Please dont say the kfx 450r cause you love it say what is really better. Cause i like the kfx better then the raptor look wise but i need something that i will love. I'm asking you guys cause we all ride kfx 400 or z400 same thing. so tell me what you think is better.

IDC what model it is, if its yamaha its an automatic NO, My close family, friends and I have owned them and they are absolutely horrible their just total junk

We are talking about 06 and up raptor 700

If it were me I would get the kfx450 due to it having fuel injection and reverse but, thats because I still race mx when I can. The Raptor700 is fuel injected as well but they are tall and on the weighty side and the have had problems with their trannys and the one way bearing on the flywheels are junk. Ive got one in my shop as we speak for that very issue and it is the 3x. The 09 Z400 is fuel injected and has a few other upgraded items. I havent personally seen one yet but if they are like the previous models they will be a great machine. The prefered years for the z400 are 05 and up, just make sure that the recall on the magnesium clutch cover has been taken care of on the 05. There are lots and lots of upgrades for the Z and they are very responsive to even the most minor hop up. Just read some of the signatures in this forum to give you an idea. I dont think you will be the least bit disappointed with the Z400

Well i have a z400 now and i want more alot more. I love it and it has been good to me and im going to let my wife ride it as she is into the atv thing now. So i just want to know if the kfx 450r is alot better then a raptor 700. I want to trail ride

See that is the whole thing i dont know. See i like the way raptors look and you can hook them up nice but you can do the same thing with the kfx 450r. I can get a raptor 700 cheater then a kfx 450. You know but i dont want to be the one that wants what somebody else has when i go riding hahah you know bro

i ride in the wv area and i have a kfx440 and its been made wider in the front(48) inches.i love to trail ride also and i can tell you from experience that its to wide for the tighter trails.the 700 raptor is very wide close to 50 i think.so it will be rough riding in the woods.the kfx450r is not as wide and has all the goodies the 700 does minus a little grunt.so right off the showroom fllor without a thousand in parts i would choose kawasaki!! the raptor is a good bike but will be more expensive in the long run. just my opinion.

If you want cheap, go with the raptor cause they are plentiful.

If you want a better machine, go with the KFX unless you are over 240lbs then I'm not sure what to suggest.
