i got a couple of stock pipes and i was thinking about cutting one would it be a noticable amount of power

The pipe or muffler? If muffler like makin a shorty? I dont think it would hurt. I would get one of those performance tips off ebay also if I was going to do that.

if u want to be cheap, try to get a stock muffler from a crf250r or i think a 450r might work, i tried the 250r pipe and i was able to expand the gasket a little and it fit onto my head pipe, only thing is you need to heat up and bend the pipe towards the quad because the pipe sticks out wayy to much.

im thinking on cutting the muffler cause im going up north in a couple weeks and where i ride i kept on getting *****ed at for it being to loud and plus i want i little more power out of the old quad

I never cut the can what most do is save your thirty for the performance tip and just take your tip off and cut the spark arrestor off with a dye grinder. Works great give some gain not a huge amount.

Cutting the can on a stock exhaust to make a shorty I dont know if you could as the internal baffles are different than a aftermarket exhaust.
