I'm wondering what all of the options are. I know about the 450R carb. I've also heard of the Edelbrock and Mikuni 36mm Pumper. I also know Sparks sells a 39mm FCR.

Am I missing anything?

The 450R upgrade seems to be the most popular here, by far. I'm sure this is because it has the best price/performance ratio.

Price aside, are some of the other choices any better performing?

The guys over at XR's Only swear the Mikuni is the best improvement you can make to an XR or EX, while Sparks says their FCR is all that and a bag of chips.

I was just curious to hear some unbiased opinions.

I used to have the FCR 39 and that was a great carb once it was tuned properly! I believe there is an FCR 41 also for like 440+. Before I had bought the FCR I was looking into the Edelbrock and there were many more people unhappy with them as oppossed to those who liked it. Dont remember the reasons though. I have the 450r carb now but havent used it yet so not sure on performance and tunability, but it seems like 1/3 if not more of the users on this site with 400's have the 450r carb. I think I have only seen one person say it wasnt worth it or any good other than that seems to be liked by all.

39mm fcr carb is one of the best your gonna get. we have dual 39mm fcrs bored to 41.3s on the raptor that i race and we like them alot. i don't know much about the 450r carb but i wouldn't run a lectron in the woods. they're hard to keep in tune and the woods or mx track would knock it out of ajustment pretty quick.
