I have a 2006 450 ER. Since new motor, it has always had a ticking noise but always ran well. Now I have about 60 hours on it and decided to put in a new piston and HRC kit. When I tore the motor apart, I found the piston skirt shining and .020 side to side play on the piston rod on the crank. I put a new piston in the motor and it acts like it is getting hung up on the piston skirt. I turned over the motor a couple times and the new piston skirt is showing wear. When put together it locks half way up on the stroke. Any ideas?
