This Ice Cream Man, pushed that cart about a Mile, uphill, on a gravel road, 3 seperate times, just to get up to us.
Yeah,... we bought some ice creamsfrom him,
he must have wanted that 5 bucks pretty bad each time!!!

great pics bro. i would love to someday run the baja. after watching "from dust, to glory" a million times, i gotta give it a shot. would be nothing cooler then blaster down a dirt road in the middle of mexico. just seems so fun to me :D

cool pics tri5ron. always cool to see different kinda bikes on here. we dont see to many baja style quads on here. they loook bad @$$. i'm just not sure how i'd feel about not running nerf bars. seems a bit sketchy to me. :huh

This video shows just how far up the gravel road we had set Check Point #3 at.
It's .87miles up from the highway, where the racers have just completed a 4 mile section ON the highway, at a max. speed of 60 mph. Then they hit the gravel road, and floor it!

The problem with that is, they cant see the Check Point from the bottom of the hill, and by the time they get to the top, they are doing somewhere between 70 - 100 mph, and the Checkpoint is about 100 yards after the top of the gravel road!

I am filming this standing right at the front of the motorhome.
litterally with my butt on the front bumper!

At that point, we decided we needed to start slowing them down before they hit the top of the hill, if we wanted to live through the rest of the day!

Here's a Class 1 car coming in. this is after we decided to post a man,(Me), at the top of the hill on the gravel road, to slow them down before the check point.

To see what these cars can do,...
watch how fast he makes it to the top of the trail, after he stops at the motorhome.
it's hard to see the car, but just watch the dust trail.
Then realize that he got two more gears to go!!!

what you dont see is, The ice cream man is pushing his cart down the hill, when this Class 1 is coming up.

(at the begining of the video, the white spot, on the right side of the road, is the ice cream man pushing his cart)

after the car passes, good ol' ice cream man starts BOOGYING IT down the hill!
he just wants to get OFF this section of road, in one piece! LOL!!!

What did Gordon have to say when he stopped? lol he was just saying that he couldn't see the motorhome until he topped the hill, and that we needed to slow them down a bit earler. He thought that the course got changed, because when he pre-ran it, he had gone on the straight road, then hooked a hard right to the little trail.
