Looks like a good start I always wanted to do an all out drag quad. Are you racing asphault? Thats what I wish we had around here nothing but dirt drags.

Not to get off the subject, cuz your quad looks bad@@@. Tom Cycles, is that the honda right off of Route 119 coming into Indiana? You guys sponsored Angel Atwell in GNCC. Man not to bad mouth you, the work you guys do on bikes and quads, cuz you guys do quality work. But I had the "thumbs up" from the wife to get a new to go get a new bike and I was looking to get a new CBR1000rr, I walked in with 12,250 cash and stood there looking like a fool for about 25 minutes, no one would come up to me to see if I needed any help looking for something or if I was interested in anything. I drove two hours and there was only two other customers over in the parts department. So I got mad and went down to Murraysville and got a 09 R1. I was kinda bummed that no one would help me out, and I even asked they said they would get to me in a minute. Maybe it was just an akward day for you guys but kinda glad I got the R1 cuz it SCREAMS! I was just wondering if thats the place you are talking about.

alot of local dirt drag racers run the 4-snow atv rear tires around here... with a homemade wheelie bar...

You could still remove your the following for weight on your bike for drag racing only weight reductions..

headlight and wiring
radiator fan
front shocks (use struts)
only fill gas tank 1/2 full
cut the manual holder underseat out of plastic
cut down the airbox, sides and rear
switch to a non o ring chain (1/2hp gain)
narrower is better for drag racing
if you build a wheelie bar remove the grab bar

I was thinking of getting a set of four snows but the place i race at most frequently has clay, so i am going to order a set of american racers soon. thanks for the tips, i have half of them done just need to get rid of the back plastics.

All that on stock compression.......go with a venom 14:1....you will see a big difference. ;)

haha believe it or not, but i just priced out the nemesis.

The Nemesis kit consists of the 74.8mm billet crank ($1197), a one-piece cast aluminum 101mm Nikasil cylinder ($952), a custom spec CP piston ($249), a Cometic top end gasket kit ($69), and our adjustable cam sprocket ($27). The total would be $2494.

and if i have 2500 i would love to do that, actually even if i did, i would have to get my cases machined, and probably would throw a web 208 in there plus get oversized valve buckets, and bore my fcr, or get a lectron alky carb. so it would be pricey, and im only 16 so, money is hard for me to come by.

what does it run in the 1/4 mile? im curious to see what mine runs on asvault...mines pretty much all stock. its 25 bucks to race at the track. normally i take my truck but i should load the 450r on the back and see what it runs. anyone know an estimate?

i have never ran a quarter mile, but i would estimate with the right gearing probably around a 14.

aint too bad. i got all my XC stuff on it right now which is no good for drag racing but i should stripe it down and take it one day haha

you can deffinatly tell when you strip a lot of weight off of it. i took off the rear fenders, coolant catch, extra wiring, bumper, grab bar, headlight, linkage, front brakes, stock heavy front rims, and soon getting backs. and i could not believe the difference it made, it pulls the wheels a good foot to two feet now.

yeah, alot of sites anymore arent updated. its a good possibility, if he has a set of drag cuts for a honda, i will probably pic up a set so i can mount my tires on those rims.

yeah i was thinking of getting some hoses for it, but i dont like cv4's price tag, i would rather get some from like advance auto, or just leave them, and buy some go fast goods.lol. but if i get a job maybe ill pick a set up. my drag pipe will hopefully be here like thursday or friday.
