my clutch on the ol 4 hundy is starting to slip when i get on it real hard, im starting to look into a good HD clutch kit, i see there are many options out there but all are very similar, cork plates steel plates and springs. what brand would you guys recomend why, and how much? i found some for 45.00 on ebay and some for 170.00 is it really worth that much. or would i be fine with a 70.00 kit? so many options.

i think a great setup that i regret not using would be stock fibers and steels with ebc hd springs. i have the full ebc dirt racer kit.. not very impressed.

stock fibers and plates are more expensive than almost any aftermarket brand. i was told that localy too about the ebc kits. love the duals bro, i wish i could do it, but in black chrome, im aiming to do out my quad in yellow and black chrome. expensive but i think it looks sweet.

Hinson is the only thing I'd put on my quad after stock clutch imo.

DPK! i had one in my 400 for like 3 years and switched it out once i needed to and got an ebc dirtracer and lets say im not satisfied. Well its not a bad clutch but not as hard as the dpk or have as much smack its a more solid clutch and dopesent slip.

im running a dpk on my 250r as well id choose it agaaqin and my 440 is geting one soon

i notice alot of built bikes going back to stock clutch kits saying they find them to work best.

i road most of the weekend with the new tusk and hd spring kit i installed last week and was really happy with the performance. may not be the best clutch but seems like a good one.

i ran a stock clutch in my drag bike with hd springs and it never slipped so i'd say oem is the way to go on clutches. it has a hinson now and works great but we'll see if it lasts as long.

i think people would be stupid to not look at the performance engineering billet basket. its nearly identical to the hinson.. $70 less though. after a year and a half of full throttle launches, and just overall abuse, mine still looks new.

im not looking at a basket or anything else just plates and springs, i dont have no extra quad money right now. if i did i would get plates and springs and also some paddle tires cuz my ridin buddies are planning another trip to silver lake in about 2 weeks so im gonna be bummed running the holeshots in the sand again, they work and i dont get stuck much but drag racing, they all beat me cuz of traction and on dirt roads i beat all the guys i ride with but one (hes got a ds650 baja) so it bums me out but whatever.
