"silent" cam chain

Is the stock 400ex cam chain a "silent" chain? If not whats the difference? Is it stronger or is it actually quieter?

im sure if yours is still good you may have noticed a winney sound that comes from the motor. thats the cam chain noise the silent ones dont do that i got the crf450 timing chain because its heavy duty but a friend has the DID silent chain and you cant hear it but i think its weaker then stock, it looks chincy compared to stock. you should go with a hd chain if you need to change it, this style of motor you dont want to throw timing or the valves will slap the piston and massive destruction could happen to your motor, go get you a i believe 02 honda crf450 timing chain and you wont regret it.
