Ok guys, this may be a questioned asked often but a need some advice. I have on 05 TRX450R with a 178 main and a 50 pilot. I'm running an HMF slip-on with the queit core insert. A while back when I put the quiet core in (the hmf) I was having issues with throttle response. So after posting on here and getting some good responses I changed the pilot to from 48 to a 50, the main from 185 to 178, and played with my air/fuel screw.

All has been fine for some time now but it seems to backfire a lot on deceleration. Noticeably more so then usual. I need advice on whether I need to re-adjust the air/fuel screw or possible some other adjustment?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you don't have any exhaust leaks. This will cause backfire.

how far out is your screw? and is it alot hotter or colder since you installed the jets and are you riding at a higher elevation. cause maybe it was right on the verge when you installed it and now its popping.
