Seems like mine used to do about 45 - 48 mph . But I weigh a ton . Mine has hauled me and a Buddy over a lot of places me 225 him 190 plus two guns/bows . The little quad never gave any trouble . But I sold it last year .

I have one too, and im guessing abou4 43 or so. The suspension is probably its worst feature in my opinion.

Bayou = Pile. I have one and were restoring it and selling it. God i'll be glad when someone buys that piece of ****.

my riding buddy has a bayou 220. im thinking it will do about 50 -53. it was close with my stock 300ex back in the day, but i dont liek to push it to the rev limiter. he also has 25 inch tires. the race was about 5 miles long ( we were going to a riding area)

Well i don't really like the quad eather 2 quick but that's all i got i wish i had a 400 but i don't so i have to play with what i go

My friend has one. It is a 2001 and looks like from the 1800s. He beat the crap outta that thing. They are good trail quads and just to mess around with, I jump my friends bayou, :p .

Top speed for a completly stock Bayou 220 is 43 mph. A bayou 300 is 1 mph slower in fact.

If you want to jump and race I suggest you save some money and get a sport quad.

R8 i'm not stupided enought to try and race this thing i already get freeked out when i bottom the shocks pretty hard and yes i will buy a sport quad ......someday :( :(

my brother n law has one in perfact shape and he weighs 140 and was beside me i was in the car and it was wide open and it was only going 35 to 36 mph

A kid in my nieborhoods who sometimes comes down from Florida and lives with his grandparents has one. Its really old and not his we beat the crap out of it. Works great for making trails but not too fast. Also VERY loud, also could be because have the exhaust rusted off. lmao:devil

lol. my friend used to have a bayou 220. he brought it to my house for a weekend campout, and we jumped that thing like crazy! it seemed very small to me, probly cuz im 6 foot tall.

My first quad was a 220, that thing was awesome, me and my friends beat the piss out of it and it still ran. I bought it new in 99 and had it for 2 years. We jumped it and trail races it against 300ex and a 400ex. It kept up to the 300 but the 400 smoked it. That 220 was so easy to pull wheelies on. It was great. I would guess the top speed to be about 45. Im not sure on that, but if you know how to ride it and dont care about it, that thing will keep up. If you can handle it

My first quad was also a 220 lol....if anyone is lookin for one for parts I got one.....I think it's an 86. It was a lot of fun back in the day.......It goes around 40mph..........40 to 45 downhill.

i rode one of those things, it was scary, it is so skinny and looks so small in the front when you sit on it. I couldnt ever get it to wheely either.:huh

I would also say about 43 or so, my friend has one and his brother has one also, I've always thought I treated my 300EX bad until I saw them with their Bayou's. Those things get ridden like sport quads and everything and keep coming back for more. I ride them whenever I go over there, and they are good quads to go slow on trails and stuff, I have jumped it though, I got like 6 inches off the ground and it bottomed out.

both my friends have bayou 220s..... and they both have cobra's and uni filters on them.....

when i raced each of them when i hadda stock 250, i alwayz won..... since a 250 goes somewhere between 50-53, id say ur bayou would do about 40-45

damn, something must be wrong with my 300ex. My friend's 220 will keep up just fine with my stock 300. after i got a pipe, 14 tooth CS sprocket, and 22 inch rear tires, there is no match. His quad would beat me in a drag - thats just because i ride my quad like i pay for it, because i do. I dont like holding the throttle wide open in 5th -- something superstitious i guess.

they can go 100 mph, in the back of the truck on the highway...

my brothers old suzuki quadrunner 250 would hit around 52mph, ur bayou would probably do newhere from 42-50 im guessing?
