View Full Version : Need help- Kick start kit mods??

Hey guys,
I picked up a YFZ with electric and kicker installed. I want to run the kicker and remove the battery, but would like to be able to reinstall the electric start components in the future. I don't want to make permanant or semi permanant changes. To remove the starter, gears and battery, what is the minimum I need to do to not stress the charging system? Thanks, Frank.

just remove ur battery and solenoid and ground wire then in the future to have it electric start again just put battery back on and kabooom :D

exactly or you can buy a lightened harness and just swap the harnesses out. I bought a lightened harness with a killswitch installed for 50 bucks from muff on here . I still have my old harness but all the elcetric start and all that bull crap was nothing but a headache.

Won't the cooling fan put too much draw on the electrical system?
