Up til a certain age. Being in college the point of summer is to save up as much money as possible for the next school year..

+1 on that! The wife says we can save $60 a month now since we're not buying lunch tickets for the kids......

Huh?! Does she think she can feed them lunch cheaper than a $1.50?! I DON'T THINK SO!

Get packing Cody! :macho

Few years ago when I was in high school, school lunch was 2.50 everyday but it was goooood at least.

I wish my lunch was <$3.00 now. Unless I bring leftover, eating fast food for lunch everyday really starts to add up:ermm:

i wish i could go back to school just for the school lunches. theres nothing that compairs to school cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, taco salad, and french bread pizza on friday. mmmmmmm i'm about to go walk up in my local high school and get some of that french bread right now :D

No joke. To make it worse, I often eat out for supper too.

Our school lunches started at 1.25. Get some pop-tarts, extra chips, extra food, gatorade, extra milk, and you could make it add up. But I quit eating school lunch around the middle of my sophmore year. A bunch of us would skip and go out to eat in town. It got dang expensive, but so worth it! High schoolers cruising through the streets in a college town while they were walking to lunch or class

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have paid in cash for every lunch since I was 15 and my dad has got plenty of sweat labor out of me to pay for a couple of lunches at least.
