I'm going to have the carb in my hands, rejetting when my exhaust arrives. Should I go ahead and remove the choke?

Part of me says yes, since I'll have the carb off anyway and free power increases are always good, even if it's not much. But the other part of me realizes I live in Michigan... It get's pretty damn cold here and I want to be able to start this thing.

Is the performance increase worth the hassle of dealing with cold weather starting?

Took mine out & bumped the pilot up to a 42. Have no problems starting in the cold. Definetly worth taking it out. imo

i have no problems starting mine with a 42 pilot, but a part of me says i might need the choke one day, like if my battery dies and the motor is cold and i want to pop start it?

See, both of you guys are in a warmer climate than me. I'm wanting to here from someone in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc... lol.

I am in indiana and in the winter its about 0 outside and it started fine. Maybe not as cold as it is up there, but I think you'll be fine. As for the increase in power, it just gave mine a lot better throttle response. It a mod worth doing though.

dude cadillac mi and i have the 42 pilot no choke and all i do is pump the gas 3 or 4 times it starts easy enough to satisfy me. i ride all winter long too i keep the field plowed in a circle track sometimes with jumps and such too its so much fun. you shouldnt have no problems in my experience.
