I DONT HAVE ANY PICS BUT MY BUDDY PLOWED INTO ME RUNNIN WIDE OPEN ADN BROKE THE FRONT LEFT FENDER OFF. WE WENT BACK TO MY HOUSE BUSTED OUT THE SAWZALL AND IN APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS I HAD A COMPLETE SET OF RACE FENDERS. LOOKED LIKE **** BUT I WANTED TO RIDE.

How do you keep yours so clean and w/o any marks in the plastic?

08-04-2001, 02:35 PM
Believe me when I say this. My plastic is not in that good of shape. I must have gotten lucky with the lighting in the picture.
I use turtle wax formula 2001. Sort of like armorall. I buy it at walmart. Its the green spray bottle. Lots of that and a soft rag.
Thats it. Try it and you will be surprised.:D

Good luck. I'm going to have my neighbor cut mine because i don't have the balls to do it.

Come on guys. Just get out there and make your outline with electrical tape and go for it. I was nervous too but I did it. Actually at first I only cut off about 4 inches from the backside of the fender to see what it was gonna be like to see the front tires while riding. Since it didn't seem to be any distraction at all I just went for it. The other motivation I had was all my riding buddies said I didn't have the guts to do it. Now none of my riding buddies have the nerve to cut their own fenders and they want me to do it. Hope I don't slip with the saw.....he he he.

Good luck and remember measure twice, cut once.:blah

Do you think 4 beers is too much to cut my plastic. J/K . I cut one this morning it looks cool. I havent cut the other Side so it feels Weird. I hope i can get the other one to look the same. If i cant get it right now then i would hate too see it when I have a couple beers in me.

so What im 14. All my freinds drink. But after i seen him drunk and huffing gas I would never toulch beer again. He was throwing knifes at me. It scared the **** out of me. He is older than me though but it was scariest day ever. Also one of the funniest days.

Hey fellas,
I cut my fenders with a "scroll" jigsaw. And I used pinstriping to lay out my line... And believe me I took my time with the line. It turned out great! I used an electric sander for the edge. (Just remember.... you can always cut more, but not less!) Nothing says you gotta take it all off in one wack, You may want to get it close (especially on the bottom rear of the fender) and slowly shape it how you want it to go.
As for the water and the mud... well with cut fenders, it's a gimmee that you'll get slopped up more, but try wheelying over what you can. And hell, if I wanted to stay clean I would of bought a car or street bike!
