ya, y quad hasent been running for awhile cause it wouldnt start. so me and my buddy when to go boost it off our car and he hooked up the + and - backwards. and now when i hit the starter, theres nothin. So wuts my problem?

You probably blew the fuse on the starter circut. Check that before proceeding further. Should be located adjacent to the battery, next to the statrter solenoid.

I bet that you did more than that. Both are 12 volts, but what about the difference in amps? Just going from a car or truck to a quad can mess up the electrical system. With hooking up the posts backwards, didn't help much. If it works I would be surprised, but I could be wrong.

Looks like you need a new battery and fuse.

Have another quad tow you and try to start it that way using the clutch.

you may have fried the cdi also

That sucks dude! You could have blown a lot... Batter, CDI, Stator, Rectifior(SP), fuse... I would start with the fuse. My 4x4 turns over and the fuse are fine, nothing noticable wrong with it, I have to go into the engine to fix it... It still starts, I love kick start...

ya, it was just the fuse! so i got that replaced! but jeez if they could do one thing to make an EX better, it would be kickstart or at least pull start. i hate all that electric mumbo jumbo.
