Do I measure the ride height from the middle of the frame or near the bumper?

You measure at the foot pegs, and at the rear a-arm mount. The measurement by the foot peg should be about 1/2" lower than the front. Don't forget to measure with you on the quad. Have someone else take the measurements.

X2 on everything that Scro said. GT Thunder tells you .25" lower at the footpeg, but I think anywhere between .25"-.5" is good.

Thanks alot for the info.

BTW I read that you should run 7-10 inches for xc and trails. Is that right because im at like 10 now and my quad looks really low.

10" is alot. I run 7.5" front, 7" rear.

WOW, 10" is a lot, I also run about 7.25"/7.00" F/R for a 200lb B-class XC racer. I almost wish I was lower at some points on the coarse, but I'd probably have problems getting through the ruts.

I lowered to 9. It still feels way to low. What do you think?

set your sag first...... then adjust your front shocks .25"-.5" higher measure 22" forward from under the foot pegs for front measurement.

Yes, you can bang them out with hammer and socket. But it's much easier if you can find a press to use. Plus you won't risk the chance of ruining a socket.

You would highly suggest pressing the new ones in though. One small dent in the race can prevent the bearings from rolling.

Time to invest in a press or borrow one. I would be lost without my press. I use it for everything.

all you need is a vise. theres no reason to use a press, its so much easier to use a vise and 2 sockets. same goes for your a-arm bearings/bushing too.

Haha thanks. I just did with a socket and a hammer. The reason i wasnt getting it out was because i didnt know you had to take the seals off lol. Once i did that they came right off.
