moving up to a 426 kit. what brand should i go with JE or Wiesco? and what compression 11.1 12.1 13.1?

Fro compression, anything over a 11:1 will require race fuel. So if you don't mind that go with 12:1.

In my experience a true 11-1 still have detonation problems, 440 0r 426.

i say go with a 11:1 wiseco piston, and a stage two hotcam.

I would go JE. I had alot of problems with a wiseco in a 300ex. Also if your going 426 your going to want to look into head studs as well.

Basically their will be no noticeable difference from a 416 and a 426. Unless, you are doing a 12:1 compression. Then the 426 will rip, but 11:1 416 will also rip and not require $8 per gallon of gas.

je pistion----------i found a great deal today ---call up lrd performance ,,,they are selling je pistions for $90 bucks wow--they r overstocked and have over flow from 2 years and thats dirt cheap --i went ahead and got 4 of the 12.1 compression pistions---- get it while u can--thats a steal
