If that engine has much done to it, and that front end is locked... those axles wont stay for very long if he gets serious with it.

Sweet truck though man. Props for rockin the old school yota.

sounds like you dont know your axles. d60s are rather strong my friend. if it was a d44 or a stock yota front axle then it would get trashed

i will say they all have their corks to them. some are worse then others. ive just been drivin chevys and been round chevys all my life so i love em.

but dude if i had that light weight truck with that one ton running gear and that 355sb i would enter it in mud boggs simply because its a light truck and with a chevy heart in them they run like raped apes

do you know if its ford running gear under it or chevy. judgin from the passengerside hogs head its chevy frontend running gear. not sure about the rear. most likely its a corp 14 bolt

Ive seen trucks with a stock 22r blow d60's with less tire.

Dont be so quick to judge. You dont know my experiences.

And actually, d60 axles are stronger than yota axles, but the yota chunk is stronger than the d60 chunk.

A lot of the guys around here have d60 axles machines down to fit in yota tubes. The splines and lengths are the same, and the 60 axles are a little tougher..

you are indeed wrong my friend. chevrolets older body style front axle the hogs head was always on the passenger side. the ford was the truck with the hogs head on the driverside. chevy didnt start putting their hogs head of their trucks on the driver side tilll 89 when the ifs OBS chevrolet silverados came out

this is why when people do a SAS on the newer IFS chevys they use 1978-79 ford dana 60 frontend because the drop is on the driverside just like the IFS chevys

still say you dont know what your talking about. if a stock weak *** 22r blows out a D60 then there was something set up wrong. those dana 60s are TON axles...yes ONE TON AXLES

I know that they're one ton axles.

There is no form of steel in the world that can hold up the the right foot of a drunk redneck.

Sorry that I just happen to have an experience or two with D60's and have seen them get broken by a 22r.

Didnt mean to piss in your cheerios bro.:ermm:

Makes me miss my 86 toy with 35 hoggs i had as a teen. never got it stuck with those tires. I had 529 gears to match up the speedo. Thing was a beast in the mud.
