View Full Version : AC Racing Exhaust - full system-anyone?

I am also adding to my possible list the AC Racing full exhaust. Does anyone have one and have any input? Not looking for other options on this post-just a simple input on this pipe.

Also, is it difficult to jet the 400? Do you need to take the carb off?

as far as i know, with everybike you have to take the carb off to jet, the ex requires the plastic and airbox to be removed to get the carb off, i have not seen anyone with the ac system though.

Thanks. I have done a search but found nothing on the AC. The dealer I know claims great gains with this full system and I like the appeal of an exhaust that is not on every atv.

I know the mfg makes that claim. What is the avg HP of a stock 400? I have an 06.

you wont see that much easily on a 400. that is 1/3 the total hp. i would expect to get 2-3 hp. Steve

I would say average for a good exhaust is 5-10% increase.

One thing ya will learn with a MFG is they take the low, mid and top end HP gains and add them together to make it sound bigger.

I bought the full exhaust, will jet and add an open box lid. I will be the test dummy.

lol wear ear plugs lmao, I like being the only one with things to being unique is the best. When you have your bucket on you wont hear it as bad.

it would be nice to see somthing other than a HMF or WHITE BROTHERS on a 400ex...i like ac products;)

Why do you say that? Have you heard one? The dealer sells both the Motoworks and the AC and claims they are about the same in terms of loudness. I listened to a clip of the Motoworks and it doesn't seem too loud in comparison to other sound clips.
