It is very easy to change the shocks on your quad.

1. Turn the gas off
2. Stand it up on end
3. Grab a ratchet with a 14M socket and 3" ext.
4. Grab a 14M box end wrench
5. Remove the nuts and bolts at each end of the shocks
6. place the new shocks where the old ones used to reside, using the old hardware.

Starting price for a set of new 300ex shocks is around 300 dollars.
Hope this helps

This is a very easy job. Although I didn't stand my quad on its grab bar. I took a jack and jacked it up until he wheels weren't touching the ground. Took the bolts out and removed the stock shocks. Remounted the aftermarket shocks. Placed the bolts in place. And mounted the rezzies. Very simple

On the rear shock, the bolts are tight. I took my airbox out so it was very easy to get to. Try a 1/2 socket wrench, it will be easier to get them to break loose
