tranny question

when i change my tranny oil on my 08 450r, i take out the drain plug and the check bolt.....oil comes out both. once it is all drained and i begin to put new oil in, it only takes less than half a quart until it starts flowing out the check bolt. it calls for .72 of a quart. so why wont it take the amout it calls for? also, when the oil comes out during refill, it is dirty oil? any help would be appreciated.

I always add to the fill hole and put in a little more, how often do you change oil and what do you use/.

i change oil either after every ride or every other ride. i use Honda HP4 without molly in tranny side. i just dont understand why it only takes less than a quart before oil starts coming out of check hole???? and when refilling, shouldn't the oil coming out of check hole be clean???

All the oil is probably not drained out. It's hard to completely drain it. Also, make sure the quad is on level ground when checking.
