Race gas storage..

I just went in 1/2 on a 55 gal drum of fuel and Im looking for some options to store my part. I heard it looses octane in plastic storage. I saw a 15gal metal storage make by blitz, but I didnt wanna spend 150 on a tank to hold fuel. I could keep my part in the drum and use as I need, just looking for options righ now.

I know around here we can buy a empty drum from the place that sells the fuel for like $30. That way you can get a drum that already had fuel in it.

I store mine in my 5 gal. plastic fuel jugs in a cool, dark place out of the sunlight. I add Stabil too.

I also just keep it in a 5 gal plastic jug in a dark corner of my garage furthest from the furnace and water heater.
